NOW Foods Oregano Oil Essential Oil is 100% pure and naturally steam distilled from the dried flowering herb Origanum vulgare, also known simply as Oregano. Pure Oregano Oil is not for cooking or internal use, but it does provide purifying, comforting, and invigorating benefits for aromatherapy or topical use when diluted. NOW Foods Essential Oils are highly concentrated, purity tested, and quality assured. Be sure to mix with carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, or almond oil before using on skin. The scent of Oregano Essential Oil is spicy and camphoraceous.

Oregano Essential Oil Benefits
There are many health benefits of Oregano Oil. Just like the leaves when used in cooking, Oregano has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. However, Oregano Oil benefits are much more pronounced than simply using the leaves. NOW Foods Oregano Essential Oil is heavily concentrated and therefore contains higher amounts of Oregano’s beneficial compounds such as carvacrol, a bacteria-fighting antioxidant, and thymol which helps fight against toxins and fungal infections. This NOW Foods Essential Oil is not intended for internal use, but when diluted it can be used topically to help treat skin yeast infections, athlete’s foot, and infected toe or finger nails. Oregano Essential Oil uses include topical application (when diluted) to help heal wounds, reduce inflammation, repel insects, and relieve pain.

Oregano Essential Oil Blends
NOW Foods Oregano Essential Oil blends well with Chamomile Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Spearmint Oil. For use in a diffuser, simply put a drop of each essential oil and enjoy the invigorating aroma. If you don’t have all these scents, you can try different combos and discover your favorites. For use in minimizing bacteria, place a few drops of Oregano Essential Oil in a hand soap and use daily. The addition of Tea Tree Oil, Eucalyptus, or Spearmint will assist in fighting pathogens.
